Cool YouTube Shorts Update: What’s New?

The October 15 YouTube Shorts update will be a true revolution in video content creation. Now creating short videos will become even more exciting and easy. What can we expect? We’ll share it with you in this article.

Not so long ago, Senior Director of Product Management of YouTube Shorts, Todd Sherman shared the upcoming updates to Shorts. Honestly, we were impressed with the upcoming changes. All in all, we’ll share more details about each of them down below.

  1. Now you can upload videos up to 3 minutes to Shorts!

Surely, the very feature that has been hotly debated online and anticipated by users. Finally, you can make longer videos in Shorts. Now users can expect a complete storytelling and maximum audience engagement.

The changes will not affect the promotion and display of previous content in any way. Definitely the best update in recent times!

  1. Remix it!

The YouTube team has already announced the ability to combine your videos with other users’ content. Good news: it’s much easier now. All you need to do is click the “Use Template” button. Voila, the new Shorts is ready.

Speaking of which, you can use multiple videos from other creators in your remixes. Viva la creativity!

  1. Stay on top of trends

Catching new trends is going to get much easier with a separate tab in the YouTube mobile app. In fact, just scroll the feed, watch trends in your country, get inspired and create your own viral content.

There, you can also read the comments on videos right in the Shorts feed.

  1. Customize your feed

Manage your feed with the new “Show fewer Shorts” feature. You can select this option by clicking on the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of any Shorts grid in your home feed.

This update will help take your mind off Shorts for a while if you feel the need to do so.

We don’t know about you, but we’re impressed with the updates. All in all, we are looking forward to the next updates and will be happy to share them here on our Blog. Meanwhile, share your opinions on the changes at Shorts in the comment below.
