Instagram is still actively trying to increase user engagement on its app. Previously, Instagram has released the “Notes” feature, which attracted users’ attention and left a positive impression. What’s the new thing they’ve come up with now? We will tell you in this post.
With the introduction of Stories on Instagram, everyone is concerned about how to increase the reach and engagement of followers. Previously, “quick reactions,” stickers, and the ability to add text served this purpose. Now, the Instagram team has come up with a new feature: comments on Stories.
Here’s what it looks like now:
In general, comments will be public, only your subscribers will be able to leave them. As we can see, comments are located at the bottom, which will not distract from the Stories and annoy users. However, you can disable or enable this feature at any time.
According to Instagram head Adam Mosseri , IG users now post many more Stories and send many more private messages than they do in the main feed.
This prevents a lot of people from public engagement, so the Instagram team will come up with new chips for Stories.
In our opinion, the feature is quite interesting and will definitely be in demand among users for a while. Moreover, comments on Stories engage followers in communication much more than the same “Notes” in DMs.
