Localization + Instagram = Voice Translations and Fonts

Ever wanted your Reels to reach an international audience, but the language barrier is holding you back? Instagram keeps working hard with AI and added even more languages for automatic voiceovers in November (English, Hindi, Spanish, and Portuguese were added earlier). Since the Indian market is quite large, five new Indian dialects have also been added so that an even larger audience can watch your content.
On top of that, creators can already test new fonts for both Reels and Stories. With this update, Instagram is taking a step toward Indian viewers and creators, expanding the ability to localize content and attract new audiences.
YouTube AI is Already in Playables and Edits

We have already noticed a trend of AI being successfully integrated into various services. Last time, this concerned live streaming. YouTube is currently upgrading Playables and Edits. In the case of games, Google DeepMind used Gemini 3 to create short demo games on YouTube Playables. You can also make a similar game yourself. What about Edits? There’s already a new Edit with AI feature that automatically suggests a ready-made video using photos from your gallery. This is already available in the YouTube app and YouTube Create.
Another minor change related to AI occurred in the Comments Reply section. Now AI will suggest appropriate responses to each comment, which will speed up feedback and take communication between creators and subscribers to a new level.
TikTok Launches Time and Well-Being

TikTok has long been championing mental health and doing everything it can to reduce bullying and other derogatory comments directed at both creators and users. Besides adding over 50 content filters for kids and teens, TikTok went a step further and created a separate hub called “Time and Well-Being.” What’s it all about? This is a new tab with relaxation and breathing exercises, calming content, and things that can help you get rid of negative emotions.
This is a great opportunity for creators not only to reduce social anxiety, set their sleep goals, etc., but also to record videos on similar topics and thus “capture” a new space within the familiar social media platform.
YouTube Latin Grammy and Upcoming Releases

Last month, there was an event where they talked about the success of Latin American music content. Six out of ten popular music videos are the work of Hispanic creators and musicians. To make this figure even more impressive, the YouTube team announced a number of new useful features. These include a new model for generating videos and clips based on Google Veo 3.1 artificial intelligence, a “Collaboration” feature for creators to work together, and additional promotion of Spanish-language music content using algorithms.
If you’ve ever thought about localizing and expanding your creative work to other languages and audiences, this is literally a sign to “jump on that bandwagon” and get tremendous support from the YouTube platform itself.
Now Reels Can Be Up to 20 Minutes Long!

Previously, the Instagram camera only allowed videos up to 3 minutes long, but now the platform has extended this limit to 20 minutes. This format is ideal for shows, documentaries, travel videos, etc. In addition, there are a number of new features: an improved green screen, a new timer, natural face filters, and the ability to cancel recorded segments and re-shoot them.
These updates are similar to TikTok’s functionality and can indeed be convenient for those who are used to this type of filming. Overall, with this set of tools, you will soon no longer need any third-party video editing apps.
What’s Cool About YouTube Recap 2025?

YouTube has released its first-ever detailed recap of content from the past year. This is a personalized selection that includes trends, the most popular videos viewed, favorite video formats and genres, as well as other user preferences. How could this be useful for creators? Directly!
Using your own results, YouTube’s overall results (and possibly requests to share your subscribers’ results for the year), you can understand your audience’s preferences and clearly plan your content for the next year and experiment with formats that your subscribers already enjoy.
New Metrics for Reels: Helpful or Scary?

The platform team decided to add two more useful metrics to the extensive list of other Instagram Reels indicators, which will allow creators to track the success or failure of their videos in even greater detail. The first new metric was Retention, which shows the decline in interest and the “stay time” of viewers on your video in the form of a graph. This way, you can understand which parts of the video are boring and poorly developed, and improve your future content.
The second metric is Skip Rate. You can use it to see the percentage of people who scrolled through your video in their feed within the first 3 seconds of the video. How is it useful? It will give you a clear understanding of how well (or poorly) your hook is working, and help you develop ideas on how to improve it.
