Jump ahead to your next favorite moments on YouTube
Tired of waiting for a video to get to the best part? If you’re watching on a phone or tablet, just double-tap the right side of the screen, like you would to skip forward, and you’ll see a ‘jump ahead’ button. It will take you to the part of the video that people watch the most.
YouTube says the feature is a combination of AI and user viewing data. It’s currently available in the US on Android devices, but the company promises that ‘jump ahead’ will be introduced to iOS in the coming weeks.
If you watch Shorts but are constantly distracted by other things on your phone, then you will definitely like this feature. Now you can continue watching short videos and leave them in any corner of the screen as a “picture-in-picture”. For now, only Android users can use this, but iOS is also coming.
