Best Laptop for YouTuber

To work with video quickly and comfortably, you cannot do without good hardware. If you have not yet encountered editing and are just going to learn how to do it, it’s worth starting with this, because a good computer will simply save you time and nerves if it works without slowing down, and you don’t have to wait a day for rendering to complete. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you do not skimp on this matter, especially if you are determined to make money on YouTube. In this case, your costs will be repaid, and you will work on an excellent device. Today we will look at laptops, because the approach to assembling a desktop computer is completely different, and a laptop allows you to be mobile and work on your videos anywhere and at any time.

What Are the First Things To Look For in a Laptop?

1. Power and performance

First of all, of course, check what processor the laptop is equipped with. Its performance directly depends on this. Therefore, the optimal choice would be a device with a powerful multi-core processor, such as an Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7.

For video editing and graphics, it is better to choose laptops with a discrete graphics processor (GPU), such as NVIDIA GeForce or AMD Radeon.

2. Screen and color rendition

You must see everything! Therefore, make sure that your laptop display has a high resolution (at least 4K, otherwise what’s the point of all this) and good color rendition. Then you won’t miss any extra noise during editing.

3. Portability and autonomy

If you most often work from home, then this is not the most important point, but there are also creators who spend most of their time on the run, and for them it is important that they can take their laptop with them anywhere they go. If you are one of them, don’t forget to check the weight of the device and the battery capacity so that it lasts you for a long time.

What Laptops Are Best for Working on YouTube?

MacBook Pro 16’’

Perhaps the most obvious choice. We are 99% sure that when you opened this article, you immediately thought about it. Yes, Mac is used by a huge number of both professional editors and YouTubers. This machine is valued for its reliability, performance, and fail-free operation.

Apple’s latest M3 chip, with its 3‑nanometer technology, promises even more power, and the Retina display offers some of the best color rendition on the market. Yes, the MacBook also costs a decent amount, however, as we said earlier, there are things that are worth spending money on.

Dell XPS 17

If you are more familiar with the Windows system, then, as you know, the choice of options is very large. You should first pay attention to gaming laptops — they are initially designed to work under high loads and are equipped with a powerful video card, so they are excellent for video editing.

One of these laptops is the Dell XPS 17. It is equipped with a 6-core Intel Core i7 processor with a refresh rate of 2.6GHz – 5GHz with 16GB of RAM. The onboard video card is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 with 4GB of discrete video memory. And, of course, the king-sized 17-inch Full HD 1920×1200 pixel monitor is what you need for productive work.

Granted, this device has one very small drawback: it weighs more than 2.5kg. But its performance and 10-hour battery life are worth it.

Asus ROG Zephyrus G15

What’s under the hood: AMD Ryzen 9 processor (3000 MHz), 16GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 video card. Which is more than enough for video editing. Even though the screen of this laptop is not so large — 15 inches.

The device weighs about 2kg, battery life is 5 hours. The main disadvantage is very noisy operation in turbo mode.

HP ZBook Studio G8

Intel Core i7 11850H processor, as much as 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD. At least for a while, you won’t have to bother about cloud storage or an external hard drive.

15.6-inch screen (1920×1080), 1.7kg weight, excellent touchpad and keyboard, and about 5 hours battery life in video editing mode.
